Insurance Associate Broker- Property Insurance in Woodland Hills, CA
Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Property Associate Broker for their Woodland Hills, California location.
This position is responsible for assisting brokers in developing, servicing and retaining business by providing a high level of expertise and customer service.
The successful candidate will possess a trusted working relationship with retail brokers and insurance companies with the highest level of customer relation skills and an outgoing enthusiastic personality.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus.
Responsibilities:
· Assists Wholesale Broker in managing the placement and servicing of property accounts
· Knowledge of commercial property insurance with an emphasis in Earthquake and Flood insurance
· Prepares and submits proposals to insurance companies with the Marketing Broker’s guidance and approval.
· Follows up with Underwriters regarding the status of quotes and provides any additional information required by the insurance company
· Prepares quotations, binders and various other documents
· Reviews binders and insurance policies for accuracy and completeness
· Participates in training of Technical Assistants
· Sorts and distributes work assignments for Technical Assistants
· Maintains knowledge of insurance companies and their appetite for various classes of property business
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Associate's Degree required /Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of commercial property and casualty insurance performed as an Associate Broker/Client Manager for a retail or wholesale insurance brokerage firm
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office software with an emphasis in Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (e-mail, telephone and written correspondence)
- Strong organizational skills
- Critical attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and independently to meet stated deadlines
- Current California Fire and Casualty licensed is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
